We’re looking for 2 Commercial Interior Designers:

– One with 10+ Years of experience who excels in design and design team leadership.
 - One with 3-5 years of experience.

We’re also looking for 2 Housing Interior Designers:

 - Both with 2-5 years of experience.

All candidates should have experience in commercial projects, multi-family housing interiors, or hospitality with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture. Candidates should exhibit design and technological sophistication in their work samples and be self-starting, energetic, and creative.  Knowledge of Revit is required and preference will be given to candidates with exceptionally strong Revit skills.

Description of the Position:
The Assistant Director of Design will be responsible for the following:
 Act as primary point of contact for clients on projects.
 Manage a team of designers.
 Develop project schedules and determine project teams.
 Collaborate with Design Directors to create and drive new innovations and concepts.
 Work together with the Managing Director and Director of Design, lead and drive the creative direction on hospitality design projects including renovations, conversions and new builds.
 Review all projects with Managing Director of Design on a weekly basis.
 Review peer drawings for accuracy and completeness.
 Study current trends, color, design technology, sustainability in design and manufacturing techniques. Use knowledge and research to create innovative solutions.
 Create presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts.
 Oversee the logistics including the purchasing, shipping and transportation of goods and materials as required to the project site.

Reporting Relationship:
The Assistant Director of Design will report to Jasmine Rai, Director of Design.

Professional Qualifications:
The desired candidate should have 8 years of hospitality design experience managing the development, design and construction of hotels and resorts. S/he should have a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or higher degree. The candidate will possess NCIDQ certification and LEED accreditation is a plus. The candidate will have various computer skills including Auto CAD and Photoshop required. Revit, Sketch up and LEED accreditation a plus. Portfolio required.

The individual should be highly confident of their abilities and be considered a detail-oriented person who can tackle complex assignments. The successful individual will be able to withstand pressure and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be highly numerate, analytical and be able to handle multiple projects. S/he will need to be a consummate team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Being innovative, while possessing a healthy sense of humor will complement the candidate’s professional skills.
