Melissa Broffman, Allied ASID
Melissa's view of interior design is straight-forward. Her job is to help clients create a space that reflects who they are. Whether it is a whole-house renovation or a single room makeover, Melissa believes a successful interior highlights the expertise of the designer, and more importantly, speaks to the personality of the client. She helps her clients capture a one-of-a-kind look that goes beyond the retail sameness of today's home furnishings market gathering inspiration from her client's ideas, photos and family heirlooms.
"It's all about making a house a home," says Melissa. "If I can realize my client's vision for a space and delight them with the results, then that's a job well done." She found Melissa Broffman Interior Design in
1998 after apprenticing with leading residential design firms in the Washington Area. She earned her B.A.
in interior design from Marymount University in 1995. Prior to studying design, Melissa spent nearly a decade in the fast-paced world of television news, covering stories and special events for CNN.
Whether the goal is traditional, eclectic, transitional or modern, Melissa knows what is appropriate and how to instill a room with character, comfort and timeless appeal. From initial consultation to final installation, she guides clients through matters of form and function, while emphasizing quality, value and personal style.
