Designer Profile

My primary areas of expertise include residential, senior transitions and downsizing, and model homes. I work in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.

With over 25 years of interior design experience I have become adept at listening to my clients and finding quick solutions for their design challenges. I strive for comfort, beauty, and freshness in my designs. I often employ whimsy and fun colors, though I also love the peacefulness and clean feelings of neutrals and whites. I am comfortable with cost constraints and budgets, and work with all phases of design, decoration, downsizing and merchandising.

I began my interior design practice in California after graduating with high honors from California State University. I was then granted professional membership status in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)after having completed the prerequisite education, work experience, and rigorous testing of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. (NCIDQ)

You did shopping and helped me with colors, and the look is warm, inviting, and serene...You have made a stressful move turn out so happily because surroundings are important. Last but not least you are so delightful to work with. It has been fun and a comfort to me."

"Lana, I'm so glad Mom found you! You made the transition to Riderwood so much easier for her and the apartment looks and
feels wonderful. You also kept the two of us on really good terms. If I had been the one to help her downsize, the tension would have been running high! You mean a lot to two more people."
