Katherine Vernot-Jonas, Allied ASID
Katherine's educational background includes a BS in Architecture and a Master's degree in Marketing and Advertising from Emerson College in Boston, MA. Prior to coming to the United States, Katherine co-founded Mora - Vernot Architecture in Cali, Colombia. Her firm led the design of a 445 unit apartment complex with commercial space, recreational facilities, and other community-oriented services.
In 2004, after obtaining her Master's degree, Katherine and her family moved from Boston to Washington, D.C. Katherine has more than 15 years of experience in the field of architectural design. Ten of those years have been with Katinas Bruckwick Architecture, in Georgetown. Katherine's number one priority is to listen to her clients' needs and to improve their existing lifestyle.
Katherine's passion for global travel and learning about other cultures is reflected in her unique approach to the design process.
Katherine's designs are focused on maintaining the symbolic and historic aspects of each project. Building a good site plan and developing thematic ideas that are up-to-date, meaningful, and innovative are fundamental parts of her designs. Katherine enjoys addressing the challenges involved in every single design.
